Position: Installation Technician

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Installation of theatrical lighting and audio system components
  • Loading and unloading trailers with access equipment and job materials
  • Shop/jobsite organization and clean-up
  • Pulling of control wire and cables & installation of conduit; soldering and termination of low or high voltage wiring
  • Hanging light plots, cabling and addressing light plots with power and DMX
  • Building, moving, and tearing down scaffolding
  • Working in personnel lifts and at height within and outside structures
  • Following company and site-specific safety rules and guidelines
  • Physical activities to include but not limited to: lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying 50+ lbs.
  • Working in existing or under-construction venues, requiring personal protective equipment: hard hat, safety glasses, hi-vis vest, gloves, and steel toed boots
  • Possibility of traveling up to 5 days per week, with up to four nights in a hotel per week
  • The ability to work some overtime as required
  • Assist other departments, when necessary, to complete tasks that are not related to the Lighting Team

Additional Information:

  • Full-time, non-exempt position with hourly rate $12-$17 dependent on experience, education, and training. Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week
